GUJRANWALA: The Social Security Department has launched an aggressive campaign to recover Rs 800 million dues from the defaulting industrial units by seizing and selling the properties of their owners.
According to officials, more than 2,100 owners of various industrial units and brick kilns in Gujranwala and Hafizabad districts have failed to pay dues to the department over the past eight years, leading to an accumulation of a total outstanding amount of Rs800m.
They say that these defaulters have ignored the reminders served on them during the dues payment period.
Finally, at the direction of the government of Punjab, the department has launched an aggressive campaign against these defaulters and formed several teams to recover the dues.
