Registration Tax Collection Soars 47% Until September, To 390.2 Million

Registration tax collection soars 47% until September, to 390.2 million. The average quota to enter through the public coffers increases by 57.3%. The total value fell in September to 1,510 million euros.

The collection for registration tax, a rate transferred to the autonomous communities, stood at 390.2 million euros during the first nine months of the year , which represents an increase of 47.31% compared to the 264.88 million euros. euros for the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Tax Agency and published by Europa Press.

In September, the autonomous communities received 20.59 million euros for this concept, that is, a decrease of 39.4% in comparison with the 33.95 million euros registered in the same month last year.

Thus, the average quota to enter through the public coffers so far this year was 615 euros per registered vehicle, 57.3% more , while in September this figure was 285 euros, a 28.75% decline .

Average price of vehicles rises 10.7%
For its part, the average price of vehicles registered in September (including registration tax) stood at 21,201 euros, which represents a rise of 10.7% , while so far this year it has risen to 20,371 euros, 7.2% more

However, the total value of the vehicles that were registered in Spain in September fell to 1,510 million euros , 5.1% less, while in the first nine months it fell only 0.61%, to 12,544 million of euros.

The average emissions of the models registered in Spain also rose to 123 grams of carbon dioxide (CO2) per kilometer , 10 grams more than in the same month of 2020. So far this year, emissions stand at 126 grams per kilometer, 12 grams more than between January and September 2020.
